·

on your phone, eating, etc…is not acceptable. No exceptions!

·
Appropriate dress is required at ALL practices:
o
No jewelry is allowed! I suggest you carry a sandwich bag in your purse for your jewelry
o
Hair MUST be pulled and secured away from your face. Hair longer
than shoulder length MUST be completely pulled up
·
Appropriate dress for game-day while at school will be determined at a later date…
·
Appropriate dress for all games:
o
No jewelry
o
Shoulder length hair or longer must be pulled away from face with ribbon(s)
o

o
Always have shell, sweater, and warm-up pants in your bag. You
may have to change due to the weather
·
Keep poms in your bag at all times!
·
All personal belongings will be left in your car, school locker or in a gym locker (see Mrs. Stout) during practice. No items will be left in the gym floor! (this
includes purse & cell phone)
·
Any cell phone out during practice will be confiscated and turned into the office. If an emergency occurs, a coach will have a cell.
·
No one will receive any uniform item until you have paid in full.
·
Please remember that you are borrowing the skirt and shell from the school.
It must be returned in the condition upon which you received it.
·
DO NOT exchange a skirt or shell with another cheerleader without permission.
·
It is your responsibility to KNOW all cheers that have been taught.
o
Cheers will only be taught & reviewed a few times at practice, therefore it is your responsibility to go
home and practice that cheer
o
If you are absent from practice, regardless of the reason it is your responsibility to make arrangements with
a captain to review what was taught at practice
o
If you are absent from practice your placement in line, formations, etc… may change in order for the entire
squad to have a successful practice.
o
If you are having difficulty learning a cheer, make arrangements with a captain to assist you after practice
o
During a game, you will never kneel or move away from the squad during a cheer because you do not know a cheer.
o
You will not cheer if you do not know ALL cheers that have been taught!
·
On Thursday’s the coaches will decide who can and who cannot cheer at that week’s game.
o
If you do not know the cheers, have unexcused absences from practice, inappropriate behavior in school, or at
practice, you may be benched for that week’s game.
o
If you are benched you are expected to attend the game in uniform and sit with the coaches.
·
All ninth and tenth grade cheerleaders MUST cheer at the home JV games, unless excused by Mrs. Kenny in advance. If you do not cheer at the JV game, you will not be permitted to cheer at the next
away and home Varsity games! If a cheerleader must be dismissed early from the game, it must be approved by Mrs. Kenny
in advance. However in order to still cheer at the next Varsity game, the cheerleader must cheer until half time.
If a cheerleader leaves earlier than this, they will not be permitted to cheer at the next Varsity game. This must be
approved in advance. Telling Mrs. Kenny does not guarantee the dismissal will be approved.
·
Please remember that if you have any questions, concerns, etc…speak with a captain or a coach and not
with another cheerleader or people who are not on the squad. (this will lead
to DRAMA)
o
Do not share cheerleading business outside of cheerleading (in school, on facebook, texting, etc…. outsiders
will only hear what they want to hear and spread what they want to spread) This hurts the entire squad!
o
We can’t fix something we are not aware of but sharing it with outsiders will only make a situation worse!
o Be a TEAM PLAYER!!!
